Lots of people on this sub advocate for fully maxing but will often forgo a few lab upgrades. As long as you have 2-3 maxed war armies, farming armies, and a decent start on the comps you'll using at the next th level, I say go for it. A Queen Walk is always just the AQ plus healers. If you make a QC out of it, add rage spells. But it always is just an addition to a strategy, like QC LaLo, QC Hybrid, QC DragBat and so on, as well as there are strategies that rely on the idea to send your heroes to death upfront, so called Sui strategies (suicide).
